“Tanning beds feel like coffins…” she shivered at the thought. Her clausterphobia had a tendency to kick in when things like that were brought up. “Thay’re scaryyy” she went on before shaking the thought away, bursting out laughing at Brittany going off in different languages. “Sweetie… NONE of those were spanish… spanish is like.. hola and… guacamole.. and tortilla.. AND TACO BELL.” She giggled with a hand over her mouth. “Now I’m really hungry.” She nodded turning a corner as they approached the diner. “I don’t think santana will agree to be a monkey.. maybe I can get Puck to be the monkey.. he kind of looks like one.. just you know… sexier with a mohawk.” She tried to smirk but just ended up laughing loudly as she swung the door to the diner open, someone seating them. The first thing she did was ask for a big plate of bacon.
“They aren’t scary! I know for a fact.” she looked over at Quinn, kind of confused as to why she was being laughed at. “Those were all Spanish, Quinn. Don’t you know what Spanish is?” she laughed at her. “That would be weird if Puck was the monkey because maps and monkeys just don’t have sex.” she stated as they walked into the diner. She couldn’t stop moving and every time she moved, her pants rubbed against the leathery seat, making a loud squeaking noise. She ordered a milkshake and a bunch of french fries. She recently decided that pigs were cute, so no more hamburgers for her.
Quinn giggled and put her hands over her face immediately. “Shh… it’s not my fault I’m all pasty white. Fake tanning would make me oooorange. Like a pumpkin.” She laughed again, getting up with a stumble when Brittany pulled her arm. She looked around, trying to determine which way to go to get to the diner she remembered being at before. “I thiiiink we goo…. THAT WAY.” She stated with a point in the direction to go. She started heading in the direction, wrapping an arm around her friend, not sure which of them needed more support to walk. “I’m a map.. like the one that spanish cartoon girl has.. map.” She giggled at the thought of Dora and her map friend.
“You would look like a Cheeto! Orrrrrr an orange with lips! Orrrrrrr a Cheese Nip!” Brittany laughed. “You don’t have to fake tan, there is such a thing as tanning beds. I sleep in them all the time.” she stated. She put her arm around Quinn as they walked and they were very noticeably drunk. “Oh my God. That makes me Dora!” she let go of Quinn and threw her arms out “BONJOUR!” she screamed out. Continuing to walk, she kept throwing out words of many different languages, none of them being Spanish except for the word nacho, once. “I would be such a frickin’ awesome Dora the Explorer. I need a monkey friend.” she knew a little too much about the show for it to be normal, but she didn’t really care.

Quinn had to burst out laughing at Brittany’s yelling before quickly nodding in agreement. Her body twirled and moved about under a streetlight, giggling as she did so. It was just fun to feel free and happy, and able to act goofy if she wanted. She stumbled slightly when Brittany grabbed her hand and put it over her stomach, causing her to laugh again. “IT’S SO EMPTYY. Clearly.. you need food.. I know I could go for food.” She looked around quickly, trying to remember exactly which part of town they were in. “OH. I think there’s a diner.. somewhere around here. WE NEED BACON. Or I need bacon.. you should have some.. it’s delicious.” She laughed, but started really cracking up when someone walked past, giving them an odd look. They must have looked rather amusing, drunk and outside, talking about food, plus Quinn realized her hand was still on Britt’s ‘empty’ stomach so she laughed and pulled back, immediately falling back on her ass, still laughing. “I.. am going to have a giant bruise on my ass.”
Brittany nodded, wide eyed, as Quinn agreed with her. “I do need food!” she looked around with Quinn and then averted her gaze back to Quinn, finding that she had to really focus in order to understand what Quinn was saying. She focused a little too hard on Quinn’s nose and giggled “You need to tan.” Brittany looked over at the man as he walked by and back away from Quinn a little, just as she fell. Brittany screamed a little as she went down and then laughed “You totally will” she agreed and grabbed her arm. “LESSSGO!” she started to stumble, not really sure where she was going. “You need to be the map.” she informed Quinn, since Brittany really didn’t know where this bacon place was.
Quinn nodded quickly and followed Brittany out of the club and outside, feeling the air hit them as they did. She stumbled a bit, not realizing how much she must have had to drink. One of the guys had been sneaking more shots over as they continued to dance, and she had lost count of how much she had. She giggled and looked to Brittany, leaning against a wall. “I think…. those guys thought they were going to get laid tonight.” She laughed again at the thought and shook her head, lazily twirling a piece of blond hair. She was happy that her friend decided to come outside, the fresh air felt nice. Without even thinking about it, Quinn pushed herself off the wall and twirled happily.
As soon as they were outside, Brittany could breathe again and automatically felt a lot better. She laughed “They probably would have if they had tried to get any other girls drunk. All that mattered to me was FREEEEEEE DRIIIIIIIIINNKSSS!” she did a little jig as she yelled the last part. She laughed at Quinn as she twirled around, this was a huge step from where Quinn had been earlier that night. She had just seemed kind of tense and upset, but now she was being all crazy and happy. It was probably just because they were drunk, but still. “I am hungry.” she pouted and patted her belly. “Quinn, seriously, feel my stomach.. I AM SO HUNGRY!” she grabbed Quinn’s hand and put it over her shirt. “Do you feel the emptiness?”
Quinn put a hand over her mouth to keep from outright laughing as she saw Brittany getting tipsy and what she said about the guys here. She nodded in response, leaning in as she danced to talk to her. “Guys are weird everywhere.. if anyone gets too close and you don’t like it, let me know.” She added the last part for good measure. Brittany was a good hearted girl, though at times could be naive. Quinn didn’t want to see her friend get taken advantage of by some perv at a club. Taking care of perverted guys wasn’t exactly ideal, but she could do it. Ever since high school she had a way about her that when she told people what to do, they did it. Just like when she transferred to McKinely and went up to Coach Sylvester and demanded that she be put on Cheerios and made captain. Sue didn’t say it, but Quinn was pretty sure that it was then that she earned her respect. Well, at least until she got pregnant. If she could handle Sue, she could handle some guys. She stayed close to the blond, staying a polite distance from the guys, though giving Brittany to dance with them if she wanted. Quinn didn’t mind so much, as long as she was comfortable with it. One of the guys had disappeared a few moments earlier and returned with shots for everyone. Not wanting to say no, and not wanting to turn down a free shot, Quinn took hers and tilted her head back, pouring the liquid down her throat.
Brittany laughed “I’ll be fine, Quinn.” she loved that Quinn had always been the type to protect her. Even though Brittany had never really needed to be protected. It was nice to have someone like that though. Brittany bounced excitedly when the guy brought over shots and downed her’s quickly, coughing because it was strong. She recouped quickly though and started dancing again, this time with Quinn though. “Duuuuuuuuude.” she said after they had been dancing for a while. “I hate this song.” she scrunched her nose and walked off, pushing past everyone to go outside. She felt like she needed some air, this was exactly why she didn’t like to drink at clubs.
With how long it had been since she went out like this, Quinn almost forgot how much she loved dancing. Sure, she would dance around to music playing when she was in her store or when she was alone, but being in a club and dancing was different. The atmosphere took it to a different level, and dancing with a friend or others was just more fun. Brittany was fantastic, and though not always easy to keep up with, Quinn was happy that she was who she was here with. She just made everything more fun. She had lost herself in the music for a while when she noticed the guys that wanted to dance with them. She was nice about it and offered them bits and pieces of her time, though never getting too close. She had too much trouble with men in her life to go leading people on. As she went right back to her friend and gave her a nod about getting more alcohol and kept dancing, not paying much attention to one person in particular. Though she already had downed quite a bit to drink and could feel the effects, she was still okay enough to keep an eye on Britt to make sure she was okay as she went to get her drink. Sometimes there could be creeps in a bar, but she suspected the other blond would be okay.
Brittany walked over and got another drink and downed it quickly. A cute-ish guy came over to talk to her and she looked over at Quinn real quick to see if she would be okay without Brittany there for a minute. She talked to the guy for a while and he bought her another shot. She downed the drink and went back over to Quinn. She kind of laughed, maybe because she was getting pretty tipsy already. She really hadn’t drank a lot in a long time. “The guys here are weird.” she scrunched her nose and giggled. She went right back to dancing, this time a little more sloppy thanks to the two drinks she had just downed. She was being more gracious to the guys trying to dance with her, dancing closer with them. At this point, they were probably lucky Brittany hadn’t started her famous drunk stripping routine.
I haven’t seen you in forever.
Brittany watched as Quinn downed her drink and ordered another in awe, apparently someone was in the mood to get a little tipsy. Brittany wasn’t complaining. She did think that Quinn’s life with Matthew sounded boring and was going to say so until Quinn beat her to it. She…
Brittany gave a sly smile “That shouldn’t be hard at all.” she said with a slight laugh in her tone. Brittany was pretty much use to demanding the lime light when it came down to dancing. It was dancing that gave her the confidence she had and that confidence moved with her every where. It was one of the reasons why Brittany had never had low self-esteem issues in high school the way Santana and Quinn or really any other girl did. She just knew that she was good at something and that nothing else mattered as much as dancing. Though she had let herself get immersed in relationship drama for a short amount of time. The whole Artie and Santana situation was a mess that she would never want to look back on. And now there was the Travis situation. It wasn’t that she wasn’t confident, she knew she could get him if she absolutely wanted to, but Brittany had always cares about people’s feelings more than she cared about getting things for herself. Which is probably why she had never fought for the title of head cheerio. She just couldn’t do that to her best friends. It didn’t take long for Brittany to get lost in the music and it didn’t take more than a couple minutes for guys to come over trying to dance with her and Quinn. Brittany had kind of made it a promise to herself not to get into guys who tried to get with her at clubs, so she mostly ignored them. Every once and a while she would dance with them for a split second and then go back to just having fun with Quinn. There’s no point in being here with your friends if you’re just going to ditch them. Finally, it was time for another drink and Brittany leaned into Quinn to yell “I’m going to get some more alcohol.” she told her and walked back to the bar.
Brittany kind of wondered if Quinn’s as encouraging Brittany to go after a married man. It was so stupid, Brittany could have so many guys. She knew that. Yet, she wanted the one guy who was off limits. She ignored the thought, pushing it to the back of her mind for when she…
Brittany watched as Quinn downed her drink and ordered another in awe, apparently someone was in the mood to get a little tipsy. Brittany wasn’t complaining. She did think that Quinn’s life with Matthew sounded boring and was going to say so until Quinn beat her to it. She threw her head back and downed her shot, slapping the glass on the counter. Putting a hand on Quinn’s shoulder “I will make sure life never gets that boring again.” she promised with a giggle. She was glad that Quinn was making plans with her. It seemed like she was getting her best friend back and that brought a smile to her face. “You’re amazing too, Q.” Brittany removed her hand from Quinn’s shoulder and called for more shots. Tonight was going to be awesome. As she took her next shot, she turned around to look at all the people dancing. There was something about dancing in a club that was thrilling for her. Dancing on stage was the best feeling in the world, she had the music she was choosing, a strictly practiced routine, all the space she needed, and often a partner who was matched in her knowledge of movement. However, at the club it was like she was free. She could move her body to the music in any way she chose and it didn’t matter because no one was really watching, they were just feeling their freedom too and although there was no space to do what she wanted and the people she danced with were more into grinding than actual dancing, she still enjoyed it a lot. She doubted that other people felt this way. Finally, she couldn’t take it anymore “Let’s dance.” she grabbed Quinn’s arm and took her out to the dance floor.
